Standing Hampton

Carp are generally very lazy fish, so when food suspends off the bottom as does the tail of this fly as it flutters, it's easier for them to eat and allows them to use less energy to move around and feed. The tail on this fly will always stand straight up and flutter in the current and yell eat me, due to the foam attached to the tail. The body is short rubber legs adding more wormy like realism to the fly. Tied on a barbless 60 degree continuous bend jig hook #6 or #8 with xs dumbbell eyes. Cast a couple feet ahead of feeding fish and let the fly sit on the bottom without moving it. Grab a few, you and the fish won't be disappointed!
