Brood Cicada

The long anticipated Brood XIX and XIII Cicada hatch is coming to the Midwest/Southeast at the end of May 2024 and should last through June 2024, they are saying up to one million cicadas per acre in some areas!! Carp and Bass go absolutely bonkers over Cicadas, especially during massive Brood hatches !! This version of my Cicada pattern has cutout wings that make this fly Super realistic! This fly is a great top water Cicada imitation for Carp and Bass, Grass Carp love it too! Tied on a #4 wide gap hook. This fly has caught hundreds of carp and bass. Note: Due to the plastic wings, this fly will make a flapping noise when casting due to the fluttering wings, not super wind resistant, but it looks amazingly realistic on the waters surface, and catches fish.
